The month of August

Whew...it has been one busy month for the Taits. A lot to catch up on so please bare with me.
We had my family reunion for 3 days. We just stayed around here is Utah and did different things each day.
~~~~~~
We went to Lagoon, which was so fun. I haven't been there since high school and they have updated the kiddie rides and had new rides for the adults.
(Dax and Clay riding in the boat. Dax drove while Clay tried to play with the water.)
(This was Clay's first ride ever. He loved it.)(Grandma took Clay on the Merry-Go-Round)
My parents rented out a pavilion, so we could gather and eat together, it was perfect. We really had so much fun. Clay was so worn out by all the fun we had, he slept good that night.
~~~~~

On Friday we went to my brother's house to have a BBQ and to go boating. Unfortunately the weather didn't work with us so we weren't able to go boating. So we let the kids play in a blow up pool and play some games. After that we went to Kangaroo Zoo. Its a place with blown up play areas for kids. The kids had so much fun.

On Saturday they had a carnival at Grandpa's and Grandma's house. Spencer and I weren't able to go because Spencer's parents and Aunt came in to town for education week at BYU and were staying with us. We were so excited for them to come and be with us, we haven't seen them in 4 months.

~~~~~
We had so much fun with them. They went to classes during the day, than we played at night. We shopped, dined, looked at houses, and my favorite thing had a girls night out. Cherie (my mother-in-law), Gail (Spencer's Aunt) and I went to McGrath's Fish House, than went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. It was really fun, so we decided to make it a tradition.
After Gail left to go back to Ohio, we went up the canyon to have a fire and cook tinfoil dinners. It was pretty busy at the park we went to because it was a Saturday night. We did find a fire pit and of course it just had to be by a stream, a deep stream. So while Papa and Daddy were getting the fire started, Clay was trying to get in the stream. He was not happy about Nana and Mom stopping him. (Clay being upset and Daddy giving him a headbutt, a game they like to play)
(So much for a fire, even the fuel gel didn't work, unless Mike and Spencer lied about being scouts...hummm.)
(Mike and Spencer working on the getting the so called fast lighting coals)
(Finally started to work. Our yummy foil dinners are cooking)
(Nanna keeping Clay occupied while the dinner was cooking)
~~~~~
For some reason the "fast lighting" coals we bought weren't so fast lighting, it took us about 45 minutes to get them going. Mike even tried to build a fire with the fuel gel and logs, no luck. The dinners were so good once we finally ate. I had found a chicken recipe that worked so well for tinfoil dinners. The night was fun, I think next time we will go somewhere where there is no river nearby.
We were sad to see them go, but will soon see them soon in St. Lious next month. Can't wait.
~~~~~
I have also started to babysit a 3 month old girl, Maggie, for a friend who had to go back to work at the hospital. I babysit on Tuesday and Wednesday for about 9 hours. I was a little worried about Clay and how he would react to it, but he has been doing so well with her.
~~~~~
I also help clean a business building with my sister in law three times a week and if two jobs aren't enough, I started a business with the same sister in law I clean with. We prepare meals once a month for who ever orders, our business is called Delectable Dinners.
~~~~~
So as you can see we are very busy but loving life. Spencer puts up with all these little side jobs I have and supports me 100%. He was the one who encouraged me to start this cooking business. He is such a wonderful husband, I don't know what I would do without him.
This video is for Melinda who has been asking me to post a video of Clay.
