Baby Blessing

The proud parents. Crista loves holding her when ever she comes over.
Adrien also held her as much as she could.

Clay loves to hold her, only for a few seconds though.
Grandpa and Grammie

4 generations all together.
The booties my great grandmother made.

We had Ansley's baby blessing on Sunday. It was such a wonderful day. We were so blessed to have so much support and love from our family members. We definitely missed Spencer's parents and siblings though, but still felt their love and support as well.

Afterwards we had everyone come to our place to have brunch. The food was so yummy, of course I can eat breakfast for every meal of the day.

Ansley looked so beautiful. She was blessed in the dress that I was blessed in and booties my great grandmother made for my mother and her sisters. These booties are around 64 years old, pretty special.

I am so grateful for these special moments in my life and for a husband who lives his life worthy enough to bless our children and to perform special ordinances. How blessed we are to have the priesthood in our home. I love my family, would do anything for them. The Lord has blessed me.

Happy Birthday!

Happy 3rd Birthday
I made this really cute birthday wreath out of balloons
Clay's present from us.
(it was a tool set and a flash light, he loves it so much he sleeps with his hammer and light)
I made these cute dinosaurs on rocks cupcakes.
They had reeses cups in the middle. Yummy.

Clay's first attempt of us singing and him blowing out the candles.
(read on to find out what happened)

Second attempt of us singing and him Blowing out the candles
(a much happier child)
Blowing out the candles threw his teeth. Luckily he had his own cupcake.

Ready to dive in.

I had to put this one in because I thought it was so funny. I came in the room and he had my boppy around his head.

This last week we celebrated Clay's 3rd birthday. We had him open up his present on his birthday but ahd a little get together on Saturday. We gave him a tool set that he absolutely loves and hasn't put down, literally, he sleeps with a different tool every night.
On Saturday we had a couple of friends and their kids from Spencer's work come over for some pizza and cupcakes. Clay loved playing with the kids and his presents. But when it came to sing happy birthday to him it all went down hill. A side note, I couldn't get him to eat anything all day so he was even more grumpy because he was hungry. I lite the candles and we started to singing to him and he started to scream bloody murder saying for us to stop. Because we kept going he started to cry. What 3 year old doesn't like the happy birthday song? Well he couldn't calm down so we ended up taking him to the back room for a while. I think he just was embarrassed that he was in the spot light with a bunch of people. He didn't even like it when my mom, Melinda & Jordy, Cali & Dorian and my dad sang to him over the phone. He screamed than, too. It was very tramatic and hard on him and me.
After he calmed down and everyone left, he decided to eat which made him a much happier kid. He asked to me to light the candles again. So I did and Spencer and I sang to him once more and he even started to sing along. He blew out his candles and willingly ate his cupcake. I hope birthdays get better for him in the future.
Happy Birthday Buddy, We Love You!

Week Three

Melinda (TT, is what the kids call her) and Ansley

The kids hang with dad

Beautiful baby

This last week my wonderful sister-in-law,, Melinda, came up from California and left her three kids and husband to help me. We certainly enjoyed her stay and were so grateful for her help. My mom was with me the first two weeks and also helped a lot. I truly am blessed to have family who is willing to help out in anyway they can.
Ansley is growing like a weed. She had her 2 week check up and after getting down to 5lb 14oz, she is now 7lb 2oz and growing a half an inch. She is doing so well sleeping, eating, pooping. We think she is perfect, especially her big brother.
