Thanksgiving with the Webbs

Since all of my brother's are going with their in-laws for Thanksgiving this year, my parents wanted to have our Thanksgiving dinner a week early. We had such a great time. Of course we had our annual pie contest. All the men, the girls can do it if they choose, make a pie from scratch and we all vote on the best presentation and best taste. The votes came in and Brion won both presentation and taste. But I have to say that after the contest we put what was left of the pies on the counter for people to pick at though out the evening and when it was time to leave MY pie was all gone and there were still some left of the others. What does THAT mean? Was is rigged? I guess we will never know...
The kids couldn't wait to jump in the huge pile of leaves that grandpa made. They had so much fun playing, of course some didn't as you can see in the sideshow below. We had gingerbread houses for the kids to make while the guys watched the BYU vs. Utah football game. What a great day!

An Update On Clay

Its amazing to me how a child grows and develops in just one month. Clay has been crawling for about 3 weeks and is getting faster at it. He doesn't do the normal crawl, he does the army crawl, which brings even more dirty shirts and pants(even though we just had our carpets cleaned) and red elbows and thighs. He has also learned how to clap, but it took him a while to figure out what he was doing. He mostly does it when he eats his food, which he loves. I don't know why Spencer wanted him to be born already a year old. For one thing that would have KILLED me, but also we would have missed these precious moments that the first year brings. Its so fun to watch them explore and discover new things. I wouldn't miss this for the world.

An update on Clay continued

Wrestling with dad

Clay is so intrigued with the vacuum. He just stares at it when ever I vacuum the floor. The other day he was being very quite and so I went to see what he was doing and I found him in the guess bedroom where I left it and he was just laying there staring up at it. I don't know what it is, I guess I should be glad that I have a child that goes and finds the vacuum instead of crying ever time he sees it.

Clay also loves to chew on the handles of me purse and every so often I will find him wrapped up in them. Its pretty funny watching him try to crawl around with a huge purse behind him. Is that bad?

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Nov. 4th was Spencer's Birthday and because it was election day we decided to celebrate it on Wed. Of course we went to his absolute favorite eating place, The Pie. If you know Spencer, he doesn't like to make a big deal of his birthday, he just likes to relax, eat good food and be surrounded by loved ones. Even though he wished his family in California and Missouri were there, we had a great time. Thanks to all who traveled there to celebrate with us. Hope you enjoyed the pizza.
Clay and I are so blessed to have a Dad and a Husband who works so hard, who is a honest man, who loves the gospel, is a priesthood holder and so much more. We love him and appreciate all that he does for our little family.

I love Halloween

Mommy and her little monkey Playing with some pumpkins
Finding his tail
Eating his tail
At dad's workFor Halloween Spencer's office had all the little kids come and go trick or treating. So I dressed Clay in his monkey suit and drove over there. Luckily the costume still fit him because I bought it over a month ago and it fit him just right, but the hat didn't fit him at all. If you look at the pictures you might see a silver shiny thing under his chin, I had to connect 3 safety pins together to make it fit. Clay loved going around looking at the different people and their costumes. He even had a couple of licks of a sucker, which he loved. As far as trick or treaters coming to our house, we only had four knock on our door, so we have a ton of candy left. I need to get rid of all this temptation, if it sits out I'll eat it and it doesn't make the last 5 lbs of baby weight disappear. Anyways I hope everyone had a great Halloween.
