Some Family Fun

We love having family visit us, its always so fun visiting and watching the kids play together and building their relationships. They really do love each other even when they don't see each other for months at a time. Unfortunately Rylin threw up the first day they were here and than Jordyn kept saying her stomach hurt the next day. They were only here for 3 days so we only had one day to do some fun stuff. We ended up going to the Riverwoods mall. They have lights up and a Violinist playing in their gazebo. The kids enjoyed dancing to the music under the lights. We also went to Provo Beach Resort and played around there. That place it really fun for families.
even though we didn't do much it was still really fun visiting at our house and just relaxing together.

On Christmas Morning I'll Wake Up Bright and Early...

...Be the first one out of bed with a mistletoe above my head.
On Christmas morning we can sing and celebrate and make the feeling stay all through the day.
(Raffi Christmas Album)
I started another tradition this year were the kids open a book present each night before bed and we read them. I bought 12 books and Clay was so excited to open one each night.
Clay had a Polar Express Party at school, so we opened Papa and Nana's Christmas Eve present early. Had thought the slippers were "awesome" as he would call them.
Santa came to our house and brought Clay a robot just like he asked and Ansley a music table.
Clay also got a race car helmet that talks to him with a steering wheel. They go great with his Lightning McQueen PJ's.

We had a great Christmas this year. Clay was at a fun age (but what age isn't). He really got into Santa this year and actually went to sit on his lap and told him what he wanted. He was always excited to see any kind of lights on houses, calling it Christmas.
It was the off year for my family so we were all by ourselves for Christmas Eve. We decided to have the missionaries over for Christmas Eve dinner. I was so excited about this because I could make a big dinner (its hard to do that with only 2 people). It was really nice to have them over and to bring that special spirit with them in our home.
Christmas morning was great. Clay loved everything he got and Ansley could care less, of course. We loved being together just our little family this year.

Temple Lights

Little Tait in his mini Santa suit. I Love it!

We went to see the Temple Square lights with Jorrel, Crista and their little boy, Tait.
We had so much fun looking at the lights and walking around. We ended up on the top floor of the Joseph Memorial Building to see the lights from above. It was beautiful.
As we were walking around we were stopped constantly by people saying how cute Tait was in his Santa suit. Crista even had 3 or 4 people ask to take a picture of him (I thought that was a little weird). I was a lot of fun, of course we always have fun with Jorrel and Crista. Thanks guys for going with us.
