On Christmas Morning I'll Wake Up Bright and Early...

...Be the first one out of bed with a mistletoe above my head.
On Christmas morning we can sing and celebrate and make the feeling stay all through the day.

I started another tradition this year were the kids open a book present each night before bed and we read them. I bought 12 books and Clay was so excited to open one each night.
Clay had a Polar Express Party at school, so we opened Papa and Nana's Christmas Eve present early. Had thought the slippers were "awesome" as he would call them.
Santa came to our house and brought Clay a robot just like he asked and Ansley a music table.
Clay also got a race car helmet that talks to him with a steering wheel. They go great with his Lightning McQueen PJ's.

We had a great Christmas this year. Clay was at a fun age (but what age isn't). He really got into Santa this year and actually went to sit on his lap and told him what he wanted. He was always excited to see any kind of lights on houses, calling it Christmas.
It was the off year for my family so we were all by ourselves for Christmas Eve. We decided to have the missionaries over for Christmas Eve dinner. I was so excited about this because I could make a big dinner (its hard to do that with only 2 people). It was really nice to have them over and to bring that special spirit with them in our home.
Christmas morning was great. Clay loved everything he got and Ansley could care less, of course. We loved being together just our little family this year.

I love the picture of the kids silhouetted in front of the tree. I'm glad you had a nice Christmas and Clay liked his presents. I love those two grandkids.
