I had to put this one in because I thought it was so funny. I came in the room and he had my boppy around his head.

This last week we celebrated Clay's 3rd birthday. We had him open up his present on his birthday but ahd a little get together on Saturday. We gave him a tool set that he absolutely loves and hasn't put down, literally, he sleeps with a different tool every night.

On Saturday we had a couple of friends and their kids from Spencer's work come over for some pizza and cupcakes. Clay loved playing with the kids and his presents. But when it came to sing happy birthday to him it all went down hill. A side note, I couldn't get him to eat anything all day so he was even more grumpy because he was hungry. I lite the candles and we started to singing to him and he started to scream bloody murder saying for us to stop. Because we kept going he started to cry. What 3 year old doesn't like the happy birthday song? Well he couldn't calm down so we ended up taking him to the back room for a while. I think he just was embarrassed that he was in the spot light with a bunch of people. He didn't even like it when my mom, Melinda & Jordy, Cali & Dorian and my dad sang to him over the phone. He screamed than, too. It was very tramatic and hard on him and me.

After he calmed down and everyone left, he decided to eat which made him a much happier kid. He asked to me to light the candles again. So I did and Spencer and I sang to him once more and he even started to sing along. He blew out his candles and willingly ate his cupcake. I hope birthdays get better for him in the future.
