Good Ole Dr. Seuss

We have a Dr. Seuss fan in our house. Clay is obsessed with this book. Clay wants to read it about 10 times a day. I have hidden it but he will search for it until he finds it (obviously I am not a good hider if a toddler can find it. I will have to work on that). He never gets through the whole book though because it is a long book for a toddler, 63 pages. Spencer and I have the first 10 or so pages memorized.
Now... if you know the "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish" book you may find that this stuffed...thing looks familiar. Yes this is the "fat fish" in the book...the one with a yellow hat. Clay loves this fish (it doesn't look like a fish to me, its pretty ugly). We call him Buddy and he is never forgotten when nap time comes or when its time for nigh nigh. I have tried to give him a stuffed dog, Poo Bear and even Tigger (he loves that cartoon), but no luck. It has to be Buddy. Oh well, what do you do?

Here is Buddy's character in the book.

See the resemblance?

what a cute little obsession...I can just see clay cuddling up with his fat fish at naptime!

He looks a lot better than the last time we saw him, ha, ha. What did you do, wash him? :)

It can be hard on parents when kids get obsessed with 1 book. Spencer liked Dr. Seuss too. He liked Green Eggs and Ham. I would have the books memorized. Can't wait to see everyone.

I love Dr. Seuss! I am collecting all the books right now to be able to read them to our kids. I find them to be fun and I can totally relate to Clay. Love the stuffed animal too. :0)
