"Diaper party" as the kids call it while they get all the diapers in the house and throw them up in the air or of the bunk bed.

January is always a long month to get through. Its freezing cold, you can't go outside so you and the kids are cooped up. BUT it is fun because my birthday is in January and this year I turned the big 30. I felt like I should of treated it as a huge event, but I didn't. My family on the other hand did. My husband was amazing, surprising me with all shorts of presents. He took me to lunch to get chicken and waffles and surprised me with some perfume and lotions which I have been wanting some for a while. Than I received many calls from family and nieces and nephews singing me Happy birthday. Than the biggest surprise was a gift to Amara Day Spa for a full day of pampering, from my husband. Hair, nails, and a massage. Holy Cow I was spoiled. ON Saturday Spencer and I went to my favorite restaurant, Market Street Grill, for some much needed seafood, and to a movie.Than that Sunday my sweet sister in law, Amanda put together a little party for me. Everyone gave me a gift that had something to do with 30. It was so fun and I loved it.

We went to check out the ice castles in Midway with one of my brothers, Brion and his cute family. Was it worth it? According to the dating couple walking out in front of us, totally worth it. To a family... not so much. Don't get me wrong it was pretty cool to see, but for the money I expected it to big a lot bigger. The kids had fun though and it was fun hanging out with Brion and Amie.
