The golden eggs
~~~~~
This Easter was a lot of fun. The kids colored eggs and decorated them in a fun monster theme. We than went our to my parents house. We missed having Jarom and Scott's family there. We had our hunt with our bunny masks on. After we had our dinner we went to our hill and rolled our made eggs down it. This is one of the funnest tradition my family has and the kids love love it which makes me love it. It was Ansley's first year and she thought is was great. Each egg she threw she would through her head back and laugh, it was pretty cute.
On Sunday after church we went over to the temple to walk around and talk about the temple.
This year Spencer came up with a new tradition were we would have one golden egg for each child that the Easter Bunny would leave. Inside would be something that would represent our Saviour and His sacrifice. This first year we just put in a rock in the egg. We talked about what the rock, and what it represents in our lives. Our Savior is the rock of our salvation and we need to build our lives on Him, the rock, in order to be strong and return to our Heavenly Father. It was a simple lesson for our kids, and a spiritual experience for Spencer and I.
Those eggs are so much fun, love the monster theme. Rolling them down a hill, yeah I would be there right with Ansley laughing my head off.
