Well Clay turned 5 in March. It was a bitter sweet birthday for me. My little man is growing up and I feel like I haven't had enough of him being a toddler. 

Since we just moved in and Clay didn't know the boys in the ward, we decided to invited them to his party. I was a little nervous because we were new and the moms didn't know us so they would be hesitant to let them come, but our ward is great and all came but 2. Clay has been talking about his Avenger party for weeks and was so excited about it. The boys had a great time playing pin the shield on Captain America, target practise with Iron Man arm shooter and hitting a pinata with a home made Thor Hammer. I do have to say that I remember pinatas being harder to open up. Only 3 kids got to hit the pinata before it broke apart. 

After fun games we went upstairs to have some cake and ice cream. Nana made an awesome Captain America cake. When we cut into it and laid it on the plate it it looked like an American flag with all the colors.   It wasn't the easiest cake to make and I feel bad that I made her make it, but the video made it look easy. Thanks Nana for a great cake.

Than Clay opened presents and had a great exciting time with that. Afterwards we had Clay free some balloons into the sky. He was so happy to do that. Maybe we will make that a tradition to celebrate a great year.

We had some visitors with is that weekend. Mike and Cherie stayed with us for a week, than Spencer's Aunt Marcie and Uncle Greg plus their son Tyler and wife Tanya and daughter, Alice came up for a short visit with their daughter Marlee who got engaged that weekend. That night Tyler and Spencer were goofing off with Thor hitting Captain America's shield, or left over cake.

I didn't take very good pics during the party so I had Clay show the hammer and pinata the next day.
