California Trip Part 1

We went to Cali in July. I was so wonderful to have the family together after 3 years. We went to San Diego for three days, than went back to Corona for about 5 days. While in San Diego, we went to some fun and exciting places, most of which were educational for the kids and adults. These first group of pictures are of the Mormon Battalion Visitor Center. This is the most visited center other than Temple Square in the church. The kids loved it, I loved it.

The kids dressed up ready to go join the Mormon Battalion
 Looking for gold

They had a tower so they can see if anyone is coming. Clay is checking it out to see if we are safe from the bad guys.

Clay loved dressing up and having a gun that was about 2 feet taller than him.

We also went to the science exhibit there. It had a lot of hands on things for the kids to do. They really enjoyed it there. Our favorite things probably was the recording TV. It records about 5 or 10 seconds of what is in front of it, then it plays it back and forth over and over again. To see the Tait family of 13 doing goofy things in front of this TV was probably a hysterical thing to watch. I which I had a picture of it.

On our last day in San Diego we went to the USS Midway Museum. It was amazing to see the living quarters for the soldiers and to see how huge it really it. We were there 4 hours and only saw half of the bottom. There was still the other half and the top part of the ship. The kids liked it. Clay thought we were in a maze on the ship.

Pulling in the ropes and anchors

Getting the down low on their next mission

Poor kids didn't obey so we threw them in jail.
 Steering...something
They have a bunch of aircraft's on the main level that the kids can get in and push all the different buttons.

Touching some missiles, hope they aren't real.
After you are done you can get your wings, but first you have to be sworn in. Cali was the only one who raised the right hand.

(I'm sick of these side pictures. Whats going on, how do you flip them, grrrr)
