Can time slow down a little, PLEASE. My little man isn't so little anymore as he has turned 4 years old. We started the day out with some crape paper going across his door. As he woke up he opened the door and was a little wary on what was happening and what to do. He asked at me to let him in. I explained to him that he was suppose to run through and ripe them. Once he did that he thought it was pretty fun.
He had school so I brought some cupcakes to his class. He was super excited when I walked in. It made me feel so good that he was showing me and Ansley off to his class.
That afternoon my parents came and gave him his presents. He was pretty excited about the NEW buddy they gave him, not so excited about the clothes though. We had a cupcake for him that night and one of his favorite dinners...pizza. Like father like son, I guess.
The next day, Saturday, we went to a little dessert shop called The Chocolate. It is probably the cutest bakery I have ever been in. It is in a old Victorian house and each room has a different theme. Clay picked his cupcake out and than had to go in every little room to check it out. Each room he said "WOW, this is awesome", or "Oooo I like this one".
We than went to a park in Pleasant Grove that is so fun. It is all a big castle that has little nooks that kids can play in for hours. We were there for a good 2 1/2 hours. He has been asking for weeks to go to the park and finally we could take him and he loved it.

Ansley is so funny when she eats cupcakes. She shoves her face in it and sniffs up the frosting. I always have to pick it out of her nose.
Ansley's first swing ride. She loved it as you can see.

Clay found a little crawl space that lead to a little sitting area.

We love this little boy. He is sweet, kind, curious, independent, and loves to explore. He would live outside if we would let him. You can always find him playing with rocks, sticks, throwing something in the pond or stream. He loves school and loves riding the bus. He is the leader in his class, is what we are told. The other kids love him and want to do what he is doing. Thankfully it isn't in a disruptive way. He makes friends easy, everyone loves him.
He loves loves his little sister and always wants her to play with him. He loves to make huts with pillows and blankets. We usually sit in them with binoculars looking for dinosaurs and eating popcorn.
He wants to be like his Dad. Anytime Spencer is around he wants to be with him. Anything Spencer is doing he wants to do it, too.
These are just a little glimpse of what Clay is like and loves. This boy is special to us and we love him more than tongue can tell.

Happy birthday Clay we love you. I can't believe you are four.
I had a smile on my face through that whole post. I loved reading about his reactions at the bakery. So sweet. And Ansley eating the cupcake was a crack-up. I love that 4 year old boy. I can't wait to see him.
