Our Valentine's Baby

One year ago, I was trying to help Spencer put together our DVD cabinet but soon started to have contractions. After a couple of hours of continuous contractions, I ended up in the hospital in labor and around 9:00pm I had received the best Valentine's gift I could have asked for. Our little Ansley brings such a sweet spirit to our family and home. She is always and I mean always happy. She loves Clay and wants to be with him where ever he is. She is a huge Daddy's girl and is always excited when Spencer comes home or wakes up from sleeping. She follows him when he is getting ready for work in the mornings and when he leaves she crawls over to the door whimpering. She has just started the separation anxiety which is a little new to us since Clay really never had that when he was little. She loves music and can find her dancing and twirling her toes when ever she hears it. She loves taking a bath with her brother and loves splashing him which makes her laugh so hard. Her favorite place in the whole world is our bed. She could be crying histariculy and nothing will work to calm her down except putting her on the bed. She loves it when Spencer wrestles with her and rolls her around. She isn't walking yet but crawls like champ. When she wants to go fast you better watch out because she puts her head down and speeds off and may run into you. I can't imagine life without this little girl. I try to express how much I love these kids but words can't do it justice. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!
What do you get a 1 year old that is so content with her big brother's toys?
Clothes, shoes and hair bows.
Of course she was more interested in the wrapping, it was shiny.

Clay was supper excited because he was able to help Ansley open the presents.

For breakfast I made these awesomely delicious banana chocolate chip heart pancakes.
The kids loved them.

On Sunday my family got together for family Sabbath, so we celebrated Ansley's birthday while we were together. I made these oh so moist red velvet cupcakes. Each kid had their own cupcake stand and heart shaped cupcake.  The boys I don't think noticed, but I'll tell you the all the girls that it was so cute and fun. If any of you have girls and their birthday's are coming up this would be a huge hit. It was fun to see all her cousins sing her happy birthday and watch her devour the cupcake. The kids love watching her get all messy they thought it was cute.
