Tyler, Melinda, Rylin, Jordyn and Paytin came up for a week during Thanksgiving. We enjoyed having them and spending time with them. It was Melinda and I's first time cooking a turkey by ourselves, usually Cherie does it, so we were a little nervous about it. We found a brining recipe that we decided to try and it turned out great. It was so juicy and flavorful. I would recommend brining your turkeys next year, you won't regret it. I tried to make our Thanksgiving dinner special since it was the first time with out Mike and Cherie, Spencer and Melinda's parents, they are on a mission to Fiji. So I tried to make the dinner table elegant and made the meal a big deal. I was happy with the out come. Of course Thanksgiving day wouldn't be fulfilled with out our traditional gingerbread making with the kids. The frosting that came in the box was horrible and didn't dry for the walls to stick together. The kids had fun though.
We made a trip to the dinosaur museum and had a lot of fun there. Poor Spencer wasn't able to get work off for the first 3 days they were here, so he missed out on some fun activities. With all the shopping, cooking, visiting and eating, it was a great Holiday.

We had so much fun with your guys. I just realized I just picked the same background as you. We both have good taste.

The table looked beautiful. I'm so glad you got to spend Thanksgiving together. Wish I had been there. But unfortunately I can't have it all. Miss you and love you.
