Some of you may know that my In-Laws are going to Fiji to serve a LDS mission for 18 months. A couple of weeks ago they came down to Provo to the MTC for training. Now the MTC isn't as strict with the couple missionaries as they are with the Elders, so they were able to stay with us for the weekends and were able to see them some evenings.
It was Mike's birthday this past weekend so we wanted to make him a birthday dinner. He wanted to grill up some hamburgers and have potato salad and a peach pie. We went to a park and Spencer grilled up the hamburgers and we had a fun time just talking and eating good food.
Opening their mission call back in May, I think.Sorry the picture is at a weird angle.
Some people may think "good riddance" when their In-Laws leave, but I love mine and are sad to see them go. It will be weird going to California and not see them there or have them come to visit us for a while, but the Lord needs them and Fiji is were they need to be.
I'm so glad that we were able to experience Mike and Cherie's time at the MTC. Even though we weren't with them the whole time, it was wonderful. They are such a huge part of our lives and we will miss them. Thank you Mike and Cherie for being great examples for our family by serving the Lord and others. Thank you for all the love and support you give us. Love you.
