As I walked out side to go to the store, I realize I didn't need my jacket and Clay didn't need his insulated pants, long sleeved shirt and jacket on. It was so warm and you could truly smell spring in the air. I love that feeling when you can see the end of winter and flowers start blooming along with leaves and such. I know that I'm getting too excited when there will be some storms still in the future. It was really nice to see what is coming in the future of Spring though.
After I got back from the from Wal-mart (my favorite store according to Spencer), I decided that today was a great day to have my first Spring run. Now I am NOT the dedicated runner who bundles up and goes running all winter long, no-sirree. I like to kept warm and cozy. I try to run at our clubhouse during the winters, but there are only 2 treadmills and one of them is out of order for the moment, so we are limited.
As I was getting all my gear together, I pulled out the jogger that has been stuffed in the back of our closet for the past 4 months. I dusted it off and pumped up the tires and off we went to our favorite running trail. There was a cool breeze so it wasn't too hot at 64 degrees, It literally was perfect. I kept thinking how much I have missed this and how much harder it is pushing a double stroller than it is to run hands free (even though I have one child I thought it would be cheaper in the long run to buy that instead of a single stroller). After about the 2.5 mile I was dying thinking, how did I do this last summer? I did make it to 4.5 miles before I said that's enough. Obviously I will have to work on that. I have to say though that Clay usually won't let me run that long but he fell asleep which was also perfect.
I'm looking forward to some more wonderful runs in the cool breeze and Spring smells.

hooray for spring!! it's supposed to be awesome all week too! Enjoy! I love running outdoors! I totally get you on not wasting money on the single runner, not worth it! After having two we never used it.
That sounds like an awesome run to me. I don't know if I could make it to mile one right now. :0( I am excited for the warmer weather too.
